Small Campfire on Ventnor Beach During Off Season

Hello,

I'm looking to have a small, contained campfire on Ventnor Beach on the weekend of October 25 for marshmallow roasting.

What are the steps i need to take to do this?
We will have people that are well educated in outdoor campfires with us to help.

Please advise.

Hi Hilary,
New Jersey Beaches have tight restrictions regarding campfires on the beaches.

Here is the ordinance at Ventnor Beach on campfires:

- Starting or maintaining a fire or fires on the beach at any time during the entire year without a permit from the Police Department.

- Beach parties shall be permitted at Newport and Suffolk Avenue Beaches only. All applications for beach parties shall be made to the Chief of Police at least two weeks prior to the scheduled event. All applicants shall receive and comply with a schedule of fees and rules and regulations as established by resolution in the City of Ventnor City.
