Water Lantern Festival allows you to Light The Water in a way you'll never forget. Now you can experience the magic of thousands of lanterns as the soft lights reflect upon the water.
This is a sustainable event. All lanterns will be cleaned up after the event. In addition, they pick up any trash that may have previously been in or around the water. The lanterns are made from rice paper and wood so they are as eco-friendly as possible and we reuse and recycle the LED candles.

Area 1, Shappell Park and the surrounding area, with food and retail vendors and music.

New Jersey Storytelling Festival

This event features more than 50 storytellers at five locations on Stangl Road. Stories of all types from The Moth-type 'real stories from real people' to family legacy stories to children's stories. A continuous rotation of tellers will perform throughout the day from 1 to 5 PM.
The day begins with The Story Slam from noon to 1 PM. Contestants are chosen at random to recount a 5 minute-or-less personal tale. The theme is HOME TOWN.
The day ends with The Lightning Round, followed by the festival's signature close, the Lightning Round runs from 4:15 to 4:45 PM.

One of the largest Irish festivals in the country is held at the Jersey shore -- every September, Wildwood holds the annual Irish Fall Festival!. The yearly celebration of Irish heritage is expected to draw as many as a quarter of a million people to the resort of the Wildwoods for the festival. Come celebrate Irish heritage with dancing, music, food and craft vendors daily. Other festivities include a golf tournament, Irish dance lessons, 5K run and 1 mile walk, pipe exhibition, food court, and Catholic Mass. The events conclude with a parade on Surf Avenue from 20th to Spruce and Olde New Jersey Avenues.
