Restaurant Review

Located two blocks from the train station, Sakura Bana is the oldest sushi restaurant in Ridgewood.

This crowd pleaser is popular with local diners who come to enjoy well prepared sushi served in a friendly environment at a reasonable price

While the decor is basic and humble, and crowded during the peak times, it's food is not.

Owned and operated by Chef Ken Kunki. Born and raised in Japan and developed his culinary skills at sushi restaurants on the west coast.

This family style BYOB traditional Japanese restaurant is where patrons come to enjoy Chef Ken Kunki's well prepared traditional sushi, sashimi and other Japanese specialties for lunch and dinner. Their seafood and ingredients are fresh.

There is limited parking in the area and you may have to walk several blocks from parking.

The service is extremely friendly and attentive.
