Price Costs in New Jersey Compared to England

by Wayne Beadsworth
(Manchester, England)

Are the prices in New Jersey similar to England's prices? We are going to a girlfriends sister who lives in Paramus and we don't know how much money to take, budget etc. Are there any amusement parks and things to do with children? He is only 2. Any help would be grateful. Thank you.

Hi Wayne;
You will find that prices in New Jersey are much lower than England. The conversion rate for 1 Euro is 1.5758 US Dollars.

Also, many people get around in New Jersey by car. You'll find the gas prices in New Jersey a bargain compared to England. On July 27, 2008, many stations in New Jersey were selling gas for $3.80/gallon compared to over $10.00/gallon in England.

If you plan on going to an amusement park in New Jersey, I would suggest Pt. Pleasant Beach. It's an hours drive south of Paramus and it's on the Atlantic Ocean. It's a nice day trip. They have a boardwalk along the beach with an excellent kiddie amusement area. Click on Pt Pleasant for some information.

Enjoy your trip to New Jersey.
Regards, Frank Dalotto
