Popular with the locals, Panicos Bistro is a new BYOB pizza restaurant located off the beaten path in West Cape May. It's housed in an old restored church and features very good brick oven pizza and a menu of many Italian dishes with a Greek influence. During the vacation season it has become popular with families with kids and people looking for some of the best pizza in Cape May with a good selection of other Italian dishes served in generous portions at a very reasonable price --- and there is plenty of parking to make the journey stress free. The interior is bright, spacious, with the large wood burning brick pizza oven in the center, and high ceilings, huge windows, ceiling fans, and hardwood floors. The atmosphere is bistro style with table cloths, cloth napkins, and background music which can be barely heard over the diners chatter on a busy weekend night. After the server takes your order, a wood plank of complementary delicious homemade garlic bread with dipping oil is presented. Panico's Bistro's pizza is brick oven style, with thin crusts --- but not cracker, charred crispy --- yet able to hold the weight of the toppings without flopping over. They offer a large variety of toppings to choose from. In addition to the pizza, Panicos Bistro has a large selection of Italian entrees to choose from. Start with the house salad, it's huge and can be shared with four people. Panicos Bistro has an extensive pasta menu along with many other chicken, shrimp, seafood, and steak entrees to choose from. Reservations are not accepted and be prepared for a long wait on busy weekend evenings.
