Restaurant Review


This is Luke Palladino's casual downstairs neighboring restaurant to his upscale Specchio. It is a popular trotteria style restaurant that serves up quality Italian dishes with an attractive presentation.

The decor resembles a rustic California style cellar with over 14,000 bottles of wine, 50 different cheeses and a a menu of well prepared Italian dishes with fresh ingredients.

The Sicilian-style mixed grill for two is outstanding. Also check out the cheese menu, served by a cheese expert, and a century-old machine that's been restored for slicing prosciutto.

Their signature dish is the Standing Baby-Back Rib Roast stuffed with Sage-and-Garlic Sausage, Pork Sugo and soft, Stone-Ground Polenta.. Other recommended dinner entrees are; Wild Mushroom Ravioli; Whole Roasted Fish with calabrese chilies, ligurian olives, garlic, celery, parsley & marjoram; and; Prime Rib Chop, a 30 oz. bone in rib eye chop, barolo glazed potatoes.

The service is attentive and friendly.
