Restaurant Review

If your are visiting Clinton and are looking for a place to have decent food with the best view in town, this is the place.

In the warmer months try and get a seat on the outdoor patio with a view of the Old Red Mill on the Raritan River.  In the wintertime, you can dine inside in a rustic setting alongside the warm fireplace.

They are BYOB, although they offer a selection of local new Jersey wines and are open 7 days/week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

For breakfast, they have a nice selection of omelets, pancakes, waffles and eggs.

For lunch, they have a good selection of salads, soups, deli and specialty sandwiches.

For dinner starters, the recommended choices are: The Jalapeno Poppers prepared with a combination of cream and cheddar cheeses whisked together with jalapeno peppers, lightly breaded then flash fried, and served with a salsa dipping sauce; and the Gorgonzola Fritters with orange cranberry relish.

For dinner entrees, the recommended selections are; The Grilled Filet Mignon of Beef, A 9 oz filet with roasted shallots, a pinot noir demi- glace and mashed potatoes and vegetables; and the Spinach and Roast Garlic Ravioli with filled ravioli served with a basil pesto cream sauce.

The wait and service can be slow on busy weekends.

Parking can also be hard to find around lunch time during the weekends.
