Old Man Rafferty's in Hillsborough is one of three chain restaurants in NJ ---- made popular by groups of friends and families who are looking for a fun eatery with decent burgers and desserts, and a drink or two, at a reasonable price. The downside of this chain of restaurants is the poor service, with little care given to the training of their staff. The interior at Old Man Rafferty's is large, loud, with a relatively small bar, and poster sized photos adorning the walls. On busy weekends, expect a long wait for a table.... Some of the popular menu items are: Spicy Wings, Raff's Reuben Sandwich, 8 oz. Burgers, and New York Strip Steak. Save room for desserts, they have more than 40 desserts. You can see them displayed in a glass case near the entrance. They are kid friendly and have a child's menu. Old Man Raffertys offers a Sunday brunch buffet that is popular with families.
