Opened in April, 2011, Tony Clark's Old Grange Restaurant is by early reports off to a very successful start and is this season's buzz amongst gourmet food aficionados on the Cape May restaurant scene.
Tony Clark is a famed chef having been named one of "America's Best New Chefs in 1997" by Food and Wine magazine. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, He achieved his fame with top restaurants in Philadelphia including the Four Seasons Hotel and the Rittenhouse Sheraton. Tony Clark is also a TV personality having appeared on more than 90 episodes of "Chef's Kitchen."
The Old Grange Restaurant has been recently remodeled and is located on the outskirts of Cape May adjacent to Historic Cold Spring Village. The atmosphere is 1850's rustic elegance with burgundy window treatments, overhead chandeliers, tables set with white table linen, burgundy linen napkins, bone china, fresh cut flowers, and flickering candles.
Chef Tony Clark is a creative chef serving up very well prepared food using fresh farm local ingredients. The menu however is limited with approximately six selections.
In a Jersey shore community noted for it's large variety of fine dining restaurants with hefty prices to match, The Old Grange Restaurant stands out with the best in serving excellent food --- but it distinguishes itself as being able to offer top draw food at a very reasonable price --- not matched by other Cape May restaurants.
The menu changes every Tuesday. They serve up a basket of good quality, warm fresh baked Italian bread and vegetables that accompany the meal are served family style.
The service is friendly and attentive.
During the peak summer months, lunch will be served from, breakfast will be served from 6-11am, and a Sunday brunch will be offered until 5pm.
The Old Grange offers an early bird special before 6pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
