Diners who come to Marcello's Ristorante enjoy the quaint, cozy, romantic setting with dim lighting and walls are adorned with faux paintings, moldings, stone, fine fabrics, doors covered with wine corks, and individual booths with curtains for privacy.

The Northern Italian food however is less imaginative and fails to distinguish itself when compared to the many other fine dining Italian restaurants in the Ridgewood area.

A unique feature is the hand crafted menus created by Argentine owner Marcello Czernizer that are an art collage mounted on a wooden painter's box and have become conversation pieces at the start of the dinner.

The dining room seating small and the tables are placed very close together and when get a bit too noisy when all the tables are occupied.

They are popular on Valentines Day, though it's probably the worst time to go with its cramped seating, and overextended service.

While the majority of the standard menu items are moderately priced, be sure to ask for the prices on the specials as many of them are very pricey.

There is outside outside seating during the warmer summer nights.

Marcellos Ristorante is not recommended for children.

They are able to accommodate private parties for weddings, bar/bat mitzvah, showers, and other special events or corporate functions.
