The Borough of Jamesburg, a very small community with an area of 0.9 square miles, is rich in history and today is surrounded by large corporate parks that are home to many fortune 500 companies. One of It's claims to fame is that the first canned tomatoes were canned in Jamesburg in 1847.

Jamesburg has a downtown shopping district with boutique shops and restaurants. It's attractions include: The Stone Museum - a hands-on museum of minerals and fossils, Superior Horse Farm - offers riding Lessons, and Horse and Pony Rides, Garden Falls - an attractive garden setting for South Asian Indian weddings, and Thompson Park/Lake Manalapan, a large park with hiking, fishing, picnic groves, and a concert gazebo.
