The Wharfside is one of Jack Baker's six seafood restaurants in NJ, and is located next door the to another of his restaurants, the Lobster Shanty. The Wharfside is on the Manasquan Inlet with a good waterfront view, and if you are close enough to get a window seating during the dinner hours, you can watch fishing boats returning from the ocean. In the summer months you can enjoy dining outdoors overlooking the water on their deck. They have a great outdoor, patio bar. Try the raw bar, it's excellent! The seafood is why you come to this restaurant as there is little variety of other food on the menu. They offer good, fresh seafood, although the preparation is basic. Expect a long wait during the summer months; you can wait at the patio bar until called. |
