The Wharfside is one of Jack Baker's six seafood restaurants in NJ, and is located next door to another of his restaurants, the Lobster Shanty. The Wharfside is on the Manasquan Inlet with a good waterfront view, and if you are close enough to get a window seating during the dinner hours, you can watch fishing boats returning from a days fishing. In the summer months you can enjoy dining outdoors overlooking the river on their deck. The seafood is why you come to this restaurant as there is little variety of other food on the menu. They offer good, fresh locally caught seafood along with many farm raised seafood dishes, all prepared in a traditional, basic manner. Expect a long wait during the summer months; you can wait at the patio bar until called. The Patio Bar also offers a casual grille, raw bar and cocktails overlooking the Manasquan River. After June 15th, and later into the evening, the Patio Bar hosts local bands every Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights.
