How Do I Obtain A Permit For A Bonfire At Seaside Park Or Seaside Heights

by Marquise M.
(New Jersey)

I'm looking to have a bonfire party and I'm sorta unsure as to the difference between seaside heights and seaside park.

I was wondering what the rules are for having a bonfire on either beach. Also whether or not we would be allowed to bring our radio and food too also where can we purchase a permit and when is good until.

Bonfires at Seaside Park's Midway Beach
by: Frank

Hi Marquise;

New Jersey beaches have very tight rules prohibiting bonfires on their beaches.

However, Seaside Park Beach is an exception. You can have a bonfire on Seaside Park Beach

Midway Beach (Seaside Park) allows fires on the beach, subject to obtaining a permit with strict provisions. You can have a bonfire on Midway Beach at night.

Please contact the Seaside Park Municipal office at 732-793-3700 for permit information & application.
