Girasole (Italian for "sunflower") is an off-the-boardwalk restaurant is not as convenient as some other AC spots, but it’s a memorable dining experience in a fast paced resort town. Located between the Tropicana and the Hilton this Versace designed restaurant is popular with celebrities who look for privacy as well as anyone with an appreciation for well-prepared Southern Italian food. The restaurant decor is bright and airy, and elegantly decorated with upholstery by Versace and has the feeling of a Mediterranean café. In the warmer months, enjoy lunch or dinner on the lush garden patio. A dominant fixture in the restaurant is the Puglia, Italian style, white-brick oven where pizzas and the carpiccio slices of filet mignon are warmed over. The service is professional, attentive and friendly.
