Restaurant Review

Fredos Italian Restaurant, formerly Ferrari's Ocean Grill, has reopened in May, 2011 as a casual dining restaurant under the same ownership and chef. This is consistent with a trend in restaurants that are downgrading from a fine dining restaurant to a more casual family friendly restaurant with lower prices and basic food preparations.

The new format has kept many of the menu favorites from Ferrari's; they have added many lower priced, basic dishes to produce a menu largely of lower priced, basic hot pasta, veal, chicken, lamb, beef and sea food entree dishes, complemented by a variety of individual pizza servings, paninis, heros, and the typical appetizers, soups, and salads.

The decor is attractive with cherry wood wall and ceiling trimmings and the walls adorned with large colored caricatures of people from the Godfather movie. The name Fredo's is taken from Fredo Corleone of the Godfather part II movie. The two dining areas are separated by a divider with attractive artificial silk flower arrangements.

The dining rooms also have several large screen TV's hanging from the ceiling playing old movies such as the Three Stooges, The Godfather, and more.

The tables are covered with plastic red checker table cloths.

The service is friendly and attentive.

Fredos Italian restaurant is very kids friendly with an excellent kids menu.

They also have a good take out menu, and are open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday - Sunday.
