In a town not noted for fine dining, this BYOB restaurant stands out. This storefront dining place has a comfortable atmosphere with an "art gallery" feel to it. The walls are adorned with paintings and photography of New Jersey artists who showcase their talents for the enjoyment of the diners. The menu is new American and is well prepared with fresh ingredients and is offered at a very reasonable price. The restaurant is frequented by diners from the surrounding adult communities who seek out good contemporary American food and value. Considering the dishes are contemporary American, the worst that can be said about this restaurant is that its arrangements are on the conservative side and the sauces and blended accompaniments can be more adventurous to raise the rating to a higher level. For starters, try the Baked Brie in pastry with apples, almonds, molasses and cream. For the dinner entree, try the Rack of Lamb basted in honey mustard with mixed nuts. If available as a special, don't miss the N'awlins Jambalaya. A complimentary salad included with the main course is not well prepared and it is suggested that an upgrade for a modest cost is well worth it. They also serve an excellent Sunday Brunch with a variety of well prepared offerings at a very reasonable price. A party alcove for up to 20 people is available. The service is friendly and attentive. |
