Next time go to PA to see Thomas. We did in June and it was the best day ever! So many things for the kids to do! My 3 year old loved every minute of it! Def worth the 2 hour drive. I'm looking to go again in November.

Awful. WIll never go again

This was the single worst event I've ever been to. there were so many things wrong with the event but I'll just mention a few...
On the webpage where I bought the tickets the train they show you riding in is an open air style with benches to sit on. When we got there it was not the case. You rode in 50+ year old railroad cars that had very little ventilation. Maybe they could have told you that BEFORE you got there so you could have either a) decided not to go or b) planned accordingly. My 1 year old son was sweating so badly I almost asked them to stop the train. It was BRUTAL.
The overall quality of the event was cheap and it was run by a bunch of local "carneys." The Sir Topham Hatt character was disgusting. The suit was all soiled and dirty and the hand on the character that he was touching kids with was filthy.
We walked into the "storytelling" tent and it was a couple of old TVs sitting 3 feet from each other running Thomas DVDs. The only other thing that was part of the "Day Out" was a tent with "activities" which consisted of a few train sets for kids to play with. I didn't see any place to make birthday cards for Thomas, The website promises "Different forms of entertainment - from petting zoos, miniature golf, bounce houses to face-painting and magic shows" Their "petting zoo" was 2 pens with a couple goats in one and chickens in the other. There was a bounce house but nothing else. It also promised "Storytelling, Live Music, Build with Mega Bloks© and Much More!" There was no live music and no storyteller. There may have been blocks but who cares. I can do that at home.
For a franchise that probably makes millions of dollars a year this event is obviously an afterthought. They should be ashamed that they take people's hard earned money for this abysmal event.
