Bucu Burger in Paramus is a new concept in burgers and if there is such a thing as a "Gourmet Burger" this is it!

Owners, Rick and Cathy Ross are the creators of the Bucu Burger and managed to team up to create one of the best "burger joints" in New Jersey. Though burgers are their claim to fame, they also serve up very tasty hot dogs, artisan sandwiches, cupcakes, cookies, yogurts, and ice cream.

The very welcoming and friendly duo, Rick a former builder designed the restaurant's attractive decor with clean, contemporary lines including 2 big flat screen TV's and free Wi-Fi. Cathy, a baker by profession, runs the bakery operation.

Bucu Burger has two areas of operation: a burger bar, where you order your burgers, salads, artisan sandwiches, and hot dogs; and the bakery where you order the cupcakes, cookies, ice cream, and yogurt.

The bakery area where the preparation and cooking takes place is viewed behind a glass window.

The featured items the burgers are custom prepared to your taste, preferences, and mix of toppings. You select the bun type, toppings, and sauces.

They use beef from Pat Lafrieda, a high end boutique meat supplier providing beef to such notable NYC restaurants like in Minetta Tavern in New York City.

They also serve fresh, hand cut french fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings.

The bakery and milk bar makes the baked goods on the premises using very fresh ingredients -- including the expensive, concentrated Callebaut chocolate, and Max and Mina's ultra premium ice cream with a very high butterfat content..

Bucu Burger is open 7 days, 11am -10pm
