The State Theatre’s Third Annual Blues & Jazz Festival kicks off with the stratospheric harmonica wailings of Rod Piazza. Backed by his band, the Mighty Flyers, Piazza shows off the fusion of low-down Chicago blues, West Coast swing, and classic rock that have earned him multiple Blues Band of the Year awards from the Blues Music Foundation. Join us at the cozy Backstage Jazz Club for a night of mighty blues!

Marcia Ball
Fri, September 25 at 8pm & 10pm at the Backstage Jazz Club
Singer/pianist Marcia Ball knows how to raise the roof and tear down the walls. At the State Theatre, she’ll be cooking up a tasty musical gumbo of roadhouse boogie woogie, zydeco, East Texas blues, and Southwest Louisiana swamp rock. It’s a recipe that has earned her multiple Grammy nominations and the 2009 Pinetop Perkins Piano Player Award from the Blues Music Foundation. Come party with Marcia and her band at the New Jersey Blues & Jazz Festival’s Backstage Jazz Club!
