This Cuban restaurant offers well prepared, home style, fresh cooking in a vibrant Spanish atmosphere. It's not just a dining experience, it's a taste of Cuba from the food to the festivities. Not recommended for intimate dining. The 85 seat interior is softly lit with earth tone colors, Cuban paintings, an artificial palm tree, candle-lit tables and white linens. The popular, often crowded bar is well stocked with wines and cocktails and offers a good selection of South American beers. The service is very friendly and festive with the staff dressed in ornate traditional shirts. The food is traditional Cuban cuisine starting off with authentic Tapas, and popular entree favorites including the shrimp dishes; Camarones Enchilados and Gambas al Ajillo; the sirloin Lylia's Bistec de Palomilla; and the Pork La Soltera Doña Rosita. The portions are generous and well priced. If you are a cigar aficionado, you will enjoy watching the cigar roller - Marcos Lopez. In the warmer months, there is outdoor patio dining. |
