This outstanding Cape May seafood restaurant offers fresh seafood that is well prepared, with good service, and an attractive atmosphere.

The dining rooms at Axelsson's have a nautical theme with wood-paneled rooms, and candlelit tables that look out across a nearby marina.

But the main reason to come to Axlesson's is for the excellent seafood fare and good service.

Some of the popular favorites include; Chilean sea bass en papillotte; the fresh oysters; the blue-claw crab cakes; the fisherman's kettle --- a mixing of seafood sauteed in a delicious sauce; and the house specialities. There are also a variety of steaks, chicken, and vegetarian dishes.

Axelsson's is also one of the few fine dining restaurants in Cape May that includes a house salad and vegetables with your dinner menu selection.

They also have an attractive bar and a good selection of cocktails, wines and beer, so come early and listen to George at the piano while you enjoy the sunset and your pre-dinner cocktail.

There is plenty of parking available. They are child and group friendly, and it's open year round.
