Are NJ Beach Public Restrooms open in September?

by Stu
(Fair Lawn NJ Bergen County)

My wife's birthday is this weekend and her favorite place on earth is the Jersey Shore - As our time is limited, we want to spend a day at the Jersey Shore but and do forgive the essence of our state: only where there are public restrooms open - Please provide which beaches will have access to the ocean and open public restrooms

Our many thanks!!

Hi Stu;

September (after Labor Day)is a great time of the year to go to a NJ Beach. The water is still warm, the beaches are not crowded, and Beach badges are not required.

While life guards are not on duty in most beaches after Labor Day, most beaches continue to have restrooms available until the end of September.

For, example, in Belmar, restrooms are available at 8th & 10 Aves. until the end of September, and in Long Branch, restrooms are available near Pier Village.

For contact information on many other beaches along New Jersey's 125 miles of shoreline, please visit
