beaches & boardwalks in NJ?

by Michele
(PA)

Are there any beaches from OC to Cape May that allow dogs on the beaches or boardwalks
in August/September? Thank you,kindly for your response.

Hi Michelle;
The ordinances allowing dogs on beaches and boardwalks in NJ are very restrictive.
On commercial boardwalks, such as Point Pleasant Beach, Seaside Heights, Wildwood, etc., dogs are not permitted on the boardwalk at any time of the year.

However, Spring Lake with the longest non-commercial board walk in NJ. permits dogs on the boardwalk during the off season after, October 1st.

For information on dog friendly beaches in NJ
