Reasonably priced Ambiance is warm and inviting with tables spaced apart for quiet conversation Some desserts are made on the premises and are very good Many diners report food is mediocre and fails to distinguish itself from other Freehold area Italian restaurants Value: The value is good Noise Level: Tables spaced apart for quiet conversation Dress: Very casual Recommended For: Diners who may prefer simpler food, lower prices, and less trendy ambiance Not Recommended For: Diners who may prefer excellent food, and upscale, trendy ambiance. Recommended dishes: For appetizers: Mellenzzane ripiene, eggplant stuffed with ricotta mozzarella, topped with tomato mozzarella; and the Arugula gamberi calamari with baby arugula, shrimp, calamari, grilled and tossed with balsamic. For entrees: Veal Osso Buco with risotto and mushrooms: Grouper with broccoli Rabe & Clams prepared in garlic, extra virgin olive oil,l and cherry tomatoes: and French Cut Veal Chop, a 16 oz grilled veal chop served with frizzled vegetables. Desserts are home made. Try the home made Tiramisu Liquor: BYOB

This new addition to the Freehold area, opened in the summer of 2010, is just what Freehold does not need ---- another fine dining Italian restaurant with mediocre food and service.

Located at the spot of the former South Street Steak house, this storefront BYOB has an ambiance that is warm and friendly, with walls, ceilings, and flooring done-up with soft earth tone colors and dimly lit candles.

The style of cooking is traditional Italian with very few creative dishes, though the prices are very reasonable and the food is served up on huge plates, 1-1/2 times the size of the average restaurant dinner plate.

They are child friendly and offer a kids menu.
