Lambertville New Jersey has no t-shirt shops and no place to buy water ice. Along the streets are brick, stucco and clapboard Federal row homes, in shades of blue, maroon, brown and turquoise. These homes were built for factory workers in the 1800's and are now in various stages of restoration. The D & R towpath along the canal runs through the city, connecting it to towns further north. Stockton is three miles further. The city's waterfront plays host to a number of activities, including rafting, tubing, kayaking, canoeing and river trolleys.
