Restaurant Review

Most diners report the meals are very reasonably priced Some diners report the food is well prepared using fresh ingredients Value: Excellent Noise Level: Very high during peak times Dress: Casual Recommended For: Diners who enjoy good traditional Italian food and at a very affordable price Not Recommended For: Diners who prefer more complex eclectic food and a more upscale trendy ambiance Recommended dishes: Vitello Varallo - Veal medallions topped with asparagus, prosciutto, and mozzarella cheese in a blush sauce; Linguini alla Scogliera with lobster and shrimp in a tomato sauce; and Fusilli served baked with Bolognese meat sauce, topped with parmesan, and mozzarella cheese. Io E Tu (Italian for me and you) is new on the restaurant scene in wildwood, having opened in August, 2010 and as a result this review can be considered preliminary until we have had feedback from many more diners.

This restaurant should feel very comfortable and familiar to Philadelphians as eating here is like eating in South Philly with all the Philly slang and vibes you find in South Philly.

No surprise here as this restaurant has been relocated from its previous location on South 9th Street in the Italian section of South Philly by owners Giovanni (chef) and Bernadino Varallo.

The interior with over 20 tables over a tiled floor is attractively done up with walls of pink stucco and white wainscoting adorned by decorative plates and paintings of Italian scenes.

However, the acoustics are poor and when the dining room is full the noise level can be deadening and quiet conversation nearly impossible.

Servers at Io E Tu are dressed in black and are very attentive and friendly with with a touch of Phiily expressions.

They are kid friendly and offer a good children's menu.
