Restaurant Review

Chef Froio has formally retired in Dec, 2006, and while this is still a very good, fine dining restaurant, there has been a drop in the quality of food and the finer details of serving up a 3 star meal. As a result I have dropped the food rating from 3 stars to 2.5 stars, and the overall rating from 3 stars to 2.5 stars.

As an example, the signature" Parmigiano Reggiano", cut from a giant quarter wheel right at the table is now served up pre-cut on a small plate.

This Italian restaurant still stands out amongst many Italian restaurants in Monmouth County and the Jersey Shore. This is a charming restaurant, with an attractive ambiance of dark woods and low lighting.

They serve up well prepred regional Italian cuisine, seafood and meat, and fowl with fresh ingredients.

The restaurant also offers a reasonably priced wine list -- -- as well as a selection of dessert wines, ports, sherries, cordials, cognacs, and single malt scotches.

Reservations are a must and be prepared for a wait when you arrive.
