Restaurant Review

Christopher's is a great restaurant to dine at if you are planning to go to the theater, or staying at the new Heldrich Hotel, or are looking for a sophisticated dining spot that serves very good new American, eclectic cuisine.

This restaurant complements the swanky, modern decor of the Heldrich hotel it resides in.

The attractive large bar, across the hall from the restaurant is a popular and trendy gathering place with the happy hour crowd, and for diners looking to enjoy a pre-dinner or post-theater cocktail in an elegant setting. Christopher’s also offers a bar menu.

The restaurant decor is contemporary with a high exposed ceiling with lighting shining down over the tables in the three dining areas, and an open kitchen with stainless steel countertops as the focal point of activity.

Christopher's restaurant serves up well prepared new American eclectic dishes under the direction of Executive Chef Richard Varga and Chef Tomas Drake III, who is responsible for the day-to-day operation, and pastry chef Margaret Siuta.

The favorite choices for starters are;the Crispy Ipswich Clams with Lemon Thyme Aioli; and the Lobster Cobb Salad.

The favorite choices for dinner entrees are: The Wood Stone Roasted Arctic Char with sunchokes; the Olive Oil Poached King Salmon: and the Grilled Bone-In Filet Mignon.

Save room for desserts. The favorites are: the Apple Crumble Cinnamon Cider Consomme with Almond Madeliene Cake, Oatmeal Streusel, and Pan d' Epice Ice Cream; and the Muscat Grape Caflouti with Mascarpone Cream, Brown Sugar Balsamic Nectar, Mint Foam.

The service at Christophers Restaurant is friendly and attentive.

Suggestion; Do not use the valet parking at the Heldrich Hotel, they are very pricey. Suggest parking across the street in the parking garage at a fraction of the cost of the hotel parking.
